Parked up at the free aire in the village of Lehon, by Dinan, we all did our own thing.
We took a stroll up to Dinan from the Aire, & called in at the Tourism office and then walking along the road spotted a poster for the Berhault Marrec gallery which is in Dinan. Monsieur and Madame Marrec (both potters), had owned La Carrée before us (a pretty country cottage we had for 7 years).
In fact, twice now whilst staying at the Lehon aire, I have bumped into Maryline, and this last trip Jean-René at the bio market by Lehon aire – small world! They are always very friendly.
Michael and I had a great lunch at the ‘Atypic’ restaurant – new to us, and one we’ll go to again. The others loving their steak lunch at ‘La Mere Pourcelle’ that we recommended. We had lunch there ourselves the next day and yummy yet again it was! You can’t go too wrong with the set menu lunches in Dinan – great prices, and some great food many places. These two for sure!
Dinan is a real gem and always lovely for a visit, both to eat there and just walk leisurely around. It’s such a special place – an absolute stunner!
Plenty of good eateries in Dinan as well as it being a feast for the eyes!
