Vitré was our next overnighter, and with no aire to be had, we had pre-booked pitches at the municipal campsite. Our stay there wasn’t without blips, no least the old couple that nicked our booked spot and the barrier that closes down at random times during the evening! Oh, and once in the town, being August, and our arriving later than everyone else, no-where with a table free! C’est la vie!

Well actually we did finally get a table at a restaurant but not before almost throwing in the towel! Thankfully we finally had a really enjoyable summers evening, over good food on a terrace in a lovely street setting. We even managed to get back into the campsite!

Next time we’ll know the ropes for Vitré!
