Our family van tour – Hedé and Dinan – 1

From Saint Aubin we drove on to Hedé where we visited a branch of the charity shop Emmaus. It was very extensive so plenty to look at. I bought one or two small pieces.

It was then on to where we stay, there in Hedé, at the parking not far from the canal, which is another favourite ‘en-route’, being quiet and never heavily populated.

Before the day was over though, we drove into Dinan with the one van for a pre-arranged dinner to mark our 33rd wedding anniversary with the girls. As I mentioned, we celebrated in advance while we were all together, as on the actual anniversary day, when back in Jersey, it wasn’t going to work out.

The weather was still hot, which again, though not great in the daytime, makes for wonderful evenings, so we sat out in one of the squares for pre-dinner drinks.

Back in Hedé, and after another good nights sleep, we had a leisurely start to the day before driving the few moments to the restaurant that we like nearby.

From there, it was a pit stop at the Aire near Evran to use the free services, then St Malo bound for the ferry home.
