Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei to Alencon

The icing on the cake on our Alpes Mancelles drive was Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei. We were only alerted to this very attractive little village by a park4night review that read “A lovely quiet park between the river and this most beautiful village.” With glorious sunshine it was a great find.

Highlight for me was seeing a couple of white wooly pigs up close and personal.

After that we headed for Alencon, where a couple of years previously we’d been thwarted from visiting due to an extreme heatwave where temperatures of 35C+ were just too much for us to enjoy a town visit. This time with temperatures in the region of of 25 degrees colder was much more preferable. As it turned out, the great sunshine turned into heavy showers on arrival, so we sat tight till an opportune time came and then braved it, and avoided getting drenched.
