Once we’d descended to Laroles, we’d learned our lesson and realised that the A4130, as required by the guidebook was not going to happen, so we opted for the A348, just to the South, which was fine.
The landscape was remarkable along the entire route, but after an hour or so we felt like a change. As we approached the end of the journey, we drove through Orgiva and then Lanjaron. The former, on first impressions, seemed to have a high proportion of love-children from the Hippie days of the 1960s, but maybe we just happened by at the same time as a “Summer of Love” convention was taking place there.
Anyway, our final resting place for the night, and somewhat late in the day, was another Park4night picnic area at Lecrin, alongside the Embalse de Beznar reservoir, and very welcome it was too.
