My birthday was spent in Lassay les Chateaux, a pretty town with rose gardens, chateaux, and a very good restaurant (as we discovered!), as well as boulangerie/patisserie!

(We parked in the Motorhome Aire, ‘La Roserie’) – centrally located in the village.

Michael had a great steak and I enjoyed a superb Osso Bucco

Amazing value and including house wine or cider in the price. We’ll definitely go again if in the area. We recommend it!

Chateau Thibault – no charge to see it! A stunning castle ruin – but hopefully it won’t be allowed to deteriorate any further – a real gem!

Now that’s what I call a real castle!

Great scenic parking ideal for stopping for a wild camping overnight with a motorhome – we didn’t on this occasion as the day was far from over.

Absolutely recommend a visit here! I hope this magnificent castle soon gets the further support it needs to preserve it.
