We visited the medieval walled city of Laon, the capital city of Picardy (from recollection!)
The motorhome parking was free and conveniently located for the old town. There were no motorhome services, but we weren’t in need of any, so that wasn’t a problem.
It’s a charming old town, oozing character, perched up on a hill, in otherwise totally flat lands. It is no wonder it had such status in such a well defended location.
The sky was very grey, but we dodged the rain and got a great walk in that evening around the old streets, with the moody lighting providing some great shots.
I have to say I’m impressed what simply an iPod can achieve! – and so handy! Naturally it goes with me everywhere!
