From Cherbourg, in an easterly direction, one is travelling along the coast on the ‘Val de Saire’.

Again, there are all sorts of free Park4Night stopover options on this route and a very pretty spot, had we planned to find one at that time of day, would have been the parking down by the harbour at ‘Le Port du Becquet’.

As it happens, while the evening was still young, we carried along the coastal road.
