We then left Albarracin and returned to our Southerly direction. The drive was spectacular, and regularly changing, and highly recommended. Not only that but there was barely a car on the road all Sunday afternoon and we drove through snowy landscapes, saw endless richly coloured rock formations, found ourselves in canyons, then we could see mountains and plains for miles. This was just a random route, not from any guide book, and simply whets the appetite to explore more of this country.

Finally, we found ourselves in an aire in Torrebaja (Calle Cantón in Park4night). I was drawn to it by the 5-star review at the top that describes it as “Best place you will ever find to stay with your motorhome”. I understand that this enthusiast review is based on the facilities, ie toilets, a sports centre, tennis courts etc. As Sophie might describe it, it is “perfectly pleasant”, and a good overnight stop.

If you decide to follow the signs to the official parking area be warned that it requires a very tight manoeuvre between a tree, a fence (which has definitely seen some action), and the tennis court low level wall.

Anyway, the sun has shone since we arrived and we have a stream nearby, so I expect to be lulled to sleep gently tonight by the sound of the running water.
