Saint Malo to Brissac-Quincé (Day 1)

Last month we had a great 2 weeks touring to La Rochelle and the Ile de Ré with Kenny and Tanya from Jersey and Nick and Sal (with their lovely dogs Bella and Sophie) from Devon.
We met Nick and Sal touring last year, got on great, toured spontaneously for a couple of nights with each other, have kept in touch since then, and hoped to link up again.
This trip they were 2 weeks into their month long visit to France and brilliantly it worked out to rendezvous as they were only just an hour or so off our planned route.
Having overnighted at St Malo, arriving in late, we waited on Kenny and Tanya due in the next morning with their van and all drove down around 3 1/2 hours to meet Nick and Sal where they were staying at the free aire at Brissac-Quincé.
We had a super warm welcome from them, and the dogs, and caught up all together over daytime cups of coffee and evening glasses of wine over the next couple of days, there at Brissac.
We had no idea what Nick and Sal’s plans were, but as it turns out they were able to be very flexible, and with Michael being tour guide extraordinaire, our convoy of 2 vans, turned into a convoy of 3, and lovely to have them tag along.
