We stopped for lunch on board in the wooded car park of ‘La Barben’ chateau (where the chateau as well as its own zoological park is open to visit), before carrying on our drive and strolling up to the old castle and church ruins up on the hill at Vieux Vernegues (in the drizzle!)

The journey carried on through Alliens, Lamanon, and Eyguieres before we pulled in at the forested aire at Plateau de la Caume, for a free night’s stay, and had our Lidl pizza supper on board ‘in’ the rain, which carried on into the next day!
