20 minutes later and we were in Faro, or Ilha de Faro to be exact, a long narrow strip of land just offshore, and connected by an equally narrow bridge. We weren’t enamoured by either Park4Night we found here, but as we made our return journey along the island, heading NW, we found some beachside parking, only just big enough for our small 6m motorhome.

It wasn’t residential, and so we knew we wouldn’t be spoiling anyone’s view, and so decided this would be our spot for the night, overlooking the sea, the airport across the water, and Faro proper beyond. There was some minor circulation of traffic until around midnight, but after that we had a very quiet night.
