The morning sun was glorious at our impromptu overnight at Ihla de Faro. We caught up with some of our respective blogging duties and enjoyed the weather and view.

Next was a drive into Faro itself to pay the old town a visit. We’d only ever been to Faro Airport previously, probably around 18 years ago, when we brought our young daughters for a week in the Algarve, and so Faro itself didn’t get a look in. Assisted by Park4Night I could see a huge car park that served the town and we managed to squeeze into a space there, but it was packed.

We had a good stroll around the seafront and backstreets, and then the rain that had been threatening all afternoon finally arrived. We then headed off in search of a Park4night I’d seen at the Praia do Ancão, near Quinta do Lago.
