It was a very lovely overnighting spot, and we enjoyed watching the boats passing by. On leaving, we first drove into town to park and have a proper visit. Sophie thoroughly enjoyed photographing every conceivable angle of the place, after which I couldn’t wait to escape 😉.
Still using my SatNav to show me France’s loveliest villages, we next came across the picture postcard small town of Asnières-sur-Vègre. We had also been here before, but it is so lovely it definitely warranted a second visit.
After Asnières-sur-Vègre, we headed to Sainte-Suzanne. Although this was also a repeat visit, we definitely saw parts we’d missed previously, and really enjoyed it.
After this it was time to aim for our last overnight of this trip, which would be our old reliable favourite of Hédé. Lots of space and very quiet. The next day we treated ourselves to a lovely set menu with steak and chips at Atypic in Dinan, and after some last minute shopping headed to St Malo for our boat trip home.
Another very successful trip, which saw us exploring plenty of new territory, and in total we covered around 2,400 miles. Many thanks to those of you who have shared all or part of our journey, and watch this space around February or March time when we next hope to head off to seek new pastures.
